Rumors have been swirling around for months now as to what storyline the fourth installment will take. Raimi and crew have their work cut out for them. Despite Spider-Man 3 being the highest grossing of the trilogy, fans and critics alike gave Spidey a critical thrashing for too many villains/subplot issues. Don't even get me started on the Sandman being responsible for Uncle Ben's death! Not to mention the literal clusterfuck they gave Venom! Now that being said, rumors that have been noted on the web are just that: RUMORS. Let's wait until something is confirmed by Sony or Raimi. The worst of the rumors is that John Malkovich will play Adrian Toomes (The Vulture in the comics) as the new head of The Daily Bugle (WTF happened To J.J.J.??) and that Rachel McAdams OR Anne Hathaway will play his daughter Felicia Hardy! Now any self respecting Spidey fans know that Felicia is NOT RELATED to Adrian Toomes and is the Black Cat in the  comics! Here is where the rumor gets even better: That Toomes will be killed of early in the film and that Felicia will think Spidey is responsible and becomes a new villain THE VULTRESS! 

Now before you get worked up remember it's a rumor. I can only hope AND PRAY that this is just internet bullshit because if not, the Spidey franchise is headed down the same road that killed the Batman franchise!  Also more rumors that the script is not finished and that pre*production was shut down mainly because Raimi and Sony are not seeing eye to eye as to who the villain should be. This rumor was squashed as pre-production WAS shutdown but only for the holidays. Let's just wait and see what we get for confirmation from Sony or Marvel.
